Educational qualification for Delhi Police SI, CAPF SI and SI Fire
For Delhi Police SI and CAPF SI (GD), a bachelor's degree is enough, but the result must be declared by 30 September 2026. Simply having the result under processing on that date does not count. SI (Fire) in CISF needs a B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, or Class 10 plus a three-year diploma in engineering branches such as mechanical, civil or electrical.
Age limit and driving licence rule
Candidates must be 20 to 25 years old on 1 August 2026, which means born between 2 August 2001 and 1 August 2006. For SI (Fire) the range is 18 to 30. SC/ST candidates get 5 extra years and OBC candidates 3.
Men who want Delhi Police must hold a valid LMV driving licence for both motorcycle and car on the day of the physical tests; without it they stay eligible for the CAPF posts only.
Height and physical test standards
Most male candidates need a height of 170 cm and a chest of 80 cm, expanding to 85 cm. Most women need 157 cm, with no chest requirement. Lower heights apply to hill areas and Scheduled Tribes as listed in the notice. In the endurance test men run 100 m in 16 seconds and 1.6 km in 6.5 minutes, and women run 100 m in 18 seconds and 800 m in 4 minutes, besides the jumps.
Exam pattern of Paper-I and Paper-II
Paper-I has four parts (reasoning, general knowledge, quantitative aptitude and English), 25 questions of 25 marks each, in one hour with a 15-minute timer per part. Paper-II has reasoning, general knowledge and quantitative aptitude with 20 questions of 40 marks each in one hour, plus a separate one-hour English paper of 100 questions and 200 marks. Paper-II is harder than Paper-I, and wrong answers cost 0.25 marks in Paper-I and 0.50 in Paper-II.
